X-Men Dark Phoenix - Loire's collaboration with Hans Zimmer and Remote Control - A dream come true!
One of the proudest moments of my life was receiving a message from the remarkable Edie Lehmann Boddicker - -Subject line: Hans Zimmer. Before I could even open the email, I looked up to the sky and the tears started streaming down my face. After all, it was only 17 years from that moment that I turned to Glen and said half-jokingly “Why doesn’t Hans Zimmer just call me!?!” And then you did, Hans Zimmer! The call itself gave me the most complete feeling and if nothing else happened beyond that moment, I was fully energized and reminded once again that timeframe along the artist path has no barriers. Along my personal artist journey, taking an off-beat path has very often meant keeping the passion ignited and staying true to my craft while walking uphill with huge rocks in my shoes... and then there are these magic milestone moments along the way. This is one of them. I may always have a few pebbles in my shoes, but you can bet that today I am standing tall with pride! Above and beyond, it has been a massive privilege and so inspiring to collaborate with such a brilliant team of true artists as Edie Lehmann Boddicker, Steve Mazzaro, David Fleming, Andy Page…. and indirectly with the amazing Guthrie Govan, Tina Guo, Alex Gibson, Katy Stephens and the sublime vocals of Suzanne Waters whose voice became my muse during many of the remote sessions with Kostadin Kamcev my talented engineer. Congratulations Hans, Steven Kofsky and the entire Remote Control team. The soundtrack is truly a masterpiece, I can’t stop listening to it! Your blissful humble fan, Loire
